I installed TekSIP on Windows XP Pro SP 2, with .NET Framework 2.0 SP 2, .NET 3.0 SP 2, and .NET 3.5 SP1. When I run TekSIP Manager or try to manually start the service, I get this error message in Event Viewer and TekSIP Application Log:
Service cannot be started. System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: Unspecified error at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnectionInternal..ctor(OleDbConnectionString constr, OleDbConnection connection) at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnectionFactory.CreateConnection(DbConnectionOptions options, Object poolGroupProviderInfo, DbConnectionPool pool, DbConnection owningObject) at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.CreateNonPooledConnection(DbConnection owningConnection, DbConnectionPoolGroup poolGroup) at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.GetConnection(DbConnection owningConnection) at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionClosed.OpenConnection(DbConnection outerConnection, DbConnectionFactory connectionFactory) at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection.Open() at i.a(String[] A_0) at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.ServiceQueuedMainCallback(Object state)
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I tried uninstalling TekSIP, .NET Framework (all versions), and re-installing, but it did not help. Thanks.
J.

Hi,
1. I verified that TekSIP.mdb (356 KB) exists in C:\Program Files\TekSIP. 2. How do I check if "service account of TekSIP has full access on TekSIP.mdb"? In the Services Console, TekSIP shows up as a Local System account.
Thanks.

Hi, If you installed TekSIP on a NTFS partition, right click on TekSIP.mdb after locating it in Windows Explorer and select Security. Check if Local Service account has full access priviledge on TekSIP.mdb. Best regards, Yasin KAPLAN

Hi,
Local Service account was not listed, so I added "SERVICE" and gave it Full Control access to TekSIP.mdb. However, I still get the same error message. As a test, I installed TekSIP on my laptop with Windows XP SP 2 and .NET Framework 2.0 SP 2. TekSIP runs without any problems on my laptop, and I did not have to change any security settings for TekSIP.mdb. I suspect there is a hardware/software conflict on my primary computer which prevents TekSIP service from starting.
